   After Mirage left us with a huge shocker I was team Skylar. Awakening starts off with Mira finding out how long she has to stay in the hospital. Skylar does not come around a lot because he feels that Mira is just confused from the dreams she had while in the coma.  Mira knows she no longer loves Danny but she does not want to hurt him. When she is released from the hospital she goes home with the boys but that does not last long. Mira accidentally says Skylar's name in her sleep when Danny was covering her up. While they are arguing she finds out about Danny's new friend Melissa. Mira tells him a little about the dreams and tells Danny she needs time.
  She moves back in with Ky and starts to get her life back on track. Mira knows she loves Danny as a friend but Skylar is her soul mate. After some close calls between Skylar and Mira he tells her to be with Danny because he does not want to hurt him and thinks he is the best choice. Mira decides to try to get her love back with Danny.  After a while of trying to work stuff out Danny can tell he no longer has Mira's heart and breaks up with her.
  A few weeks after the breakup Skylar finally makes Mira his.  It takes a while for Danny to come around but he finally does. At the end we know that Danny,Skylar, Ky, and Mira are still friends. Skylar and Mira are living together and doing good and Danny and Melissa are dating. I can't wait for Ky and Jacoby's story to see what is going on there. This book teaches you that sometimes you first love is not you soul mate they are just the stepping stone to your soule mate.
