Beautiful Ink by Nicole Reed

Honestly, when I was told about this book I was like, oh yea, just by the name of the cover makes it mine and Reva's kind of book! But it is so much more than the cover, the beauty comes deep within the pages of this book.

Normally I don't like books that go back and forth within time frames, most of the time it seems as if they do it too frequently and well I just get lost. But this is not the case with Beautiful Ink. I love the fact that during the process of reading I am getting a picture of what happened then, and now, and then it all comes together in the end!

This book is completely raw. It is about a girl who lost everything at such a young age, who just didn't lose her family, but also a part of herself. The world she grew up in is exactly what she is running from. No one understands that world better than her and no one can understand the emotional trauma that it caused unless you knew her....knew her deep within her soul, knew her.

Helen's only real escape is tattooing. She can get lost in the moment with each story the ink and live canvas tells. When she finally does escape the world she is in, she finds herself doing exactly what she was told not to do. But how long can one run before they decide they don't want to anymore. Death would be a peaceful bliss as an outcome compared to what she endures for the MC club.

In the end she finally lives. Lives for her, for everything she wants. It isn't an easy journey but she makes it, she is strong.

I rate this 5 stars. I wish the ending would have given a little more, but this is such a captivating read. You will get lost in it.
