Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

This was definitely a 5 star Read!! I loved that you could follow the link and listen to the songs that the characters wrote in the book!!

 

Sydney is having the worst birthday ever! I know what you are thinking it can't be that bad but it is! She finds out that her boyfriend is cheating on her with her roommate/friend. This is how Sydney ends up in the rain trying to figure out where to go until her mysterious/totally hot neighbor that she has been watching play guitar and helping write music gets her to stay at his place with his friend.

 

Ridge is super sweet and you can't help but to fall in love with him and when you add his best friend Warren into the mix it is hilarious because the boys like to play pranks on each other. Ridge and Sydney keep writing songs together but something starts to change between them! They both have an attraction to the other but there is one HUGE problem there and her name is Maggie. Maggie just happens to be Ridge's girlfriend for the past five years.

 

Sydney and Ridge fight the feelings they have the best they can but the heart wants what the heart wants! Will Ridge leave Maggie because he has something so strong with Sydney? You will just have to read to find out!! This book is all about love and music with a few surprises thrown in there! You can't help but fall in love with the characters!

You need tissues when your read this book! I can't wait to meet Lynetta at The Rebels and Readers author event and get this book signed.

Lorraine comes from a small town where people judge you by who your are related to. Her dad was a drunk that caused her to have a hard life. Then one day her brother tells her that Michael says he's going to marry her. This takes her by surprise because she really don't have any idea who Michael is. That is a start of their beautiful friendship and love.

Lorraine fights Michael's love because He is a bit intense at his pursuit of her. They have a huge fight the night of her graduation and go a few years without speaking. During their time apart she realized that she always love him as more than a friend.

They finally get together and everything seems to be going good but fate had another idea. I am not going to tell you what happens so you will have to read this beautiful love story to see what happens. This is a story about young love, fate, and growing up. I rate this with 5 out of 5 stars.

The Destiny of Violet and Luke by Jessica Sorensen

Jessica has done it again!! This is better than the first two books in the series!! This line from Luke sums up the whole book "Everyone has their dark past. I have mine and, trust me, I'd be a fucking hypocrite if I judged you for anything you did."

 

 We know from the other books that Luke hated to be home and he has a good Reason. His childhood was even worse than Cayden's and that is saying something. Violet also had a horrible childhood going from one bad foster home to another. Violet and Luke both do extreme stuff to forget or deal with their feelings.

 

They start to help each other and it looks hopeful until we are thrown a curveball that changes everything. The ending to this book killed me because it leaves you with a lot of questions that will not be answered until the next book later this year. I love Jessica's book and just like all of her other books I give this one 5 stars. Just a warning this is going to give you a major book hangover!!

Touching Scars by Stacy Borel

  In Touching Scars we meet Timber and Kat. They both went to high school together but didn't hang out. Years down the road Timber is out of the army and having a hard time dealing with what happened to him. Kat has moved to a new town to get away from the guy who raped her in high school. Timber and Kat are both trying to work out what happened to them when Timber runs into Kat at the bar she is working at.

Kat realizes that Timber needs help after he has an episode. As Kat and him hang out they start to help each other. Kat tells him she was raped but won't tell him who did it because they were friends in high school. When the guy that raped her shows up and attacks her again Timber is there to save her. This is a story about how you are sometimes given the people you need most at the perfect time. I loved this book and I give it 5 stars.
