I love reading books by authors that are new or those that I haven't read their work before, and honestly, this book did not disappoint. It is a fast read, but that is ok, because I have kids and hate having to stop at a good part for a long period of time.
This is the first book that I have read by Amanda Heath and there is a second book called Wrong Kind of Love about Caden...will get to him in a minute.
Ok, Teagan Harper has no experience with guys whatsoever - blame that on her twin brothers who just happen to be only 2 weeks older than her. Her father, who is a mayor and has 5 children, had an affair with Teagan's mother which resulted in her. Teagan's mother died when she was 10 and she went to live with her father and his family.
Teagan's twin brothers, Jaden and Caden, are extremely over protective of her and won't let her near a guy, but when she goes to college things change. She meets this hot guy, Declan (don't you just love that name!) which just happens to be Jaden's best friend and football teammate at a party after his ex-girlfriend, Claire, throws beer all over her and Teagan punches her in the nose because that beer just happened to get on her favorite signed shirt by M. Shadows. (I love this chick!)
Teagan and Declan quickly fall in love and the entire family knows about them except Jaden. There is a lot of drama in this book. Teagan has severe panic attacks, Claire is a bitch, and her roommate, Grace, is in love with her twin brothers....(the second book is about Caden).
Things fall apart when Teagan has a sudden miscarriage and pushes Declan away. But after four months, they reconnect and it's like nothing ever happened.
The ending was a tad rushed, but over all I really enjoyed this book. I love reading books where the characters and I have so much in common. Some of the things remind me so much of my best friend and I, from the love for Avenged Sevenfold, the favorite colors of Teagan and her roommate and even the chucks!
This is a good book and I hope to read more from this author.
-xoxo-T:)
