Knockout by Tracey Ward

Knockout by Tracey WardKnockout

This isn't your average fighter book, yes, there are parts that are hot and steamy and yes, Kellen is just simply breathtaking...but this is about something more deeper that goes straight to your soul and possibly even more.

Some relationships are wrong, and sometimes you have to get it wrong a few times to get it right. In this case, a soulmate is found within a friendship, the love and feelings are mutual and it started so early so young. But it was there, and to be able to sit back and watch someone you love be with someone else takes a large amount of preservation. That person, will be there throughout all else. That is a person hard to find.

Jenna Monroe comes from money, hard earned money. Her dad wasn't always well off, and because of him being a successful lawyer and his pro-bono work is how she meets Kellen Coulter. She was 13 when they met, he was 17. He was in her life ever since that one day she found him sitting in her kitchen. She watches him as years pass, she watches him with her older sister, Laney. She also watches how Kellen transforms to please her sister and knows that love shouldn't be like that. Love is supposed to be you being yourself while you're with the person you love.

Kellen Coulter comes from the bad side of town, his mother passed when he was young and his father isn't in the picture except for his money that was left. Kellen grew up in foster care and thought that if he continued to be with Laney, even though he loves Jenna, and follows her father's footsteps that he would have everything in life that he thought he wanted. He quit boxing because she didn't like it, he let her control it all....but it changes in the end!

He soon realizes, after a horrific accident, that he was tired of being on a one way track and he was no longer going to sit back and watch his life be controlled. He was going to be the one to control it. He breaks it off with Laney, helps Jenna get her own tattoo studio, (btw, I love the name of her studio) and realizes she is all he needs. He also goes back to boxing. Things are hard, but with him and Jenna together things will always be possible.

I love this story. It has so much meaning to it, and it holds so much truth behind it. You can't change unless you want to, some relationships are just not meant to be, and sometimes you do find a soulmate in a friend. I rate this a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars! It's a def must read! Get your tissues and chocolate because it definitely holds moments where you ball your eyes out!
