Making Faces by Amy Harmon

"I think people are like that. When you really loot at them, you stop seeing a perfect nose or straight teeth. You stop seeing the acne scar or dimple in the chin. Those things start to blur, and suddenly you see them, the colors, the life inside the shell, and beauty takes on a whole new meaning."

Making faces is a wonderful book that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that you don't want to ever get off of!! I rate it with 5 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone. Making Faces is about learning to love yourself and teaches you that love sometimes comes from an unexpected place.

Ambrose it a huge star in his little town and Fern is just an average girl that has a crush on him. Ambrose is beautiful and very athletic and never really gives Fern the time of day until the day before he leaves for the army. Ambrose had talked his four best friends into going in the army, so the five boys fresh out of high school set out on an adventure together.

Five boys went out into world but only one made it back. Ambrose was hurt very badly on top of feeling the guilt over his friends deaths. He refuses to see anyone other than his father until he runs into Fern one night on her way home from work. Fern helps Ambrose see that it does not matter that he does not look the same because he is still beautiful to her. Ambrose and Fern both help each other through some very rough times and come out with a very strong love in the end.

Making Faces is not my typical type of book but I still loved it. I ugly cried through a couple chapters but it is so worth the time to sit down and read!!

Four Score (Gypsy Borthers 4) by Lili Saint Germain

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!!

"But that's the thing about this life. Remember when I said, nothing good ever lasts?"

Every Gypsy brothers book gets better than the last!! Lili keeps you on the edge of your seat in every book just waiting for the other shoe to fall. At the end of Five Miles Jase had figured out that Sammi was really Juliette and we were left wondering how that was going to play out.

We get out questions answered in this book! At first you don't think that Jase is going to help her but his love for her runs deep and he is just a little shocked to know that she is alive. Jase and her go back to his place to figure everything out but Elliott is not liking this plan and Juliette is not stuck hurting him or Jase in who she chooses.

As we know Juliette/Sammi is a super BADASS that you can't help to cheer for but she is starting to get a little sloppy in her moves. Will Juliette give up on her quest on revenge and stay with Jase or will she stay on course and give up true love? You will have to one-click this awesome book next week to find out!!

I love this series and can't wait for Three years to come out in July. Four Score is a 5 out of 5 star that will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time wanting to slap the characters!! The ending to  this book had me yelling " No I can't wait until July!! I need more NOW!!"

Happy Reading

Knockout by Tracey Ward

Knockout by Tracey WardKnockout

This isn't your average fighter book, yes, there are parts that are hot and steamy and yes, Kellen is just simply breathtaking...but this is about something more deeper that goes straight to your soul and possibly even more.

Some relationships are wrong, and sometimes you have to get it wrong a few times to get it right. In this case, a soulmate is found within a friendship, the love and feelings are mutual and it started so early so young. But it was there, and to be able to sit back and watch someone you love be with someone else takes a large amount of preservation. That person, will be there throughout all else. That is a person hard to find.

Jenna Monroe comes from money, hard earned money. Her dad wasn't always well off, and because of him being a successful lawyer and his pro-bono work is how she meets Kellen Coulter. She was 13 when they met, he was 17. He was in her life ever since that one day she found him sitting in her kitchen. She watches him as years pass, she watches him with her older sister, Laney. She also watches how Kellen transforms to please her sister and knows that love shouldn't be like that. Love is supposed to be you being yourself while you're with the person you love.

Kellen Coulter comes from the bad side of town, his mother passed when he was young and his father isn't in the picture except for his money that was left. Kellen grew up in foster care and thought that if he continued to be with Laney, even though he loves Jenna, and follows her father's footsteps that he would have everything in life that he thought he wanted. He quit boxing because she didn't like it, he let her control it all....but it changes in the end!

He soon realizes, after a horrific accident, that he was tired of being on a one way track and he was no longer going to sit back and watch his life be controlled. He was going to be the one to control it. He breaks it off with Laney, helps Jenna get her own tattoo studio, (btw, I love the name of her studio) and realizes she is all he needs. He also goes back to boxing. Things are hard, but with him and Jenna together things will always be possible.

I love this story. It has so much meaning to it, and it holds so much truth behind it. You can't change unless you want to, some relationships are just not meant to be, and sometimes you do find a soulmate in a friend. I rate this a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars! It's a def must read! Get your tissues and chocolate because it definitely holds moments where you ball your eyes out!

Nova and Quinton:No Regrets (Nova 4) by Jessica Sorensen

I love how Jessica gives us a REAL love story full of heart break and struggles not rainbows and unicorns!!
"Death. It's around more than people realize. Because no one wants to talk about it or hear about it. It's too sad. Too painful. Too hard. The list of reasons is endless."

At the end of Saving Quinton we were left wondering how Quinton was going to do in rehab. We get our questions answered in No Regrets! Quinton is worried about leaving rehab and his feelings towards Nova. Quinton is struggling with moving on from his past and feels like he is betraying Lexi by moving on in his life. At first he will not see Nova and they only talk on the phone.

Nova is struggling with things going on in her life. When things get to be too much she runs to Quinton for help. It is now Quinton's turn to return the favor and save Nova from herself. Quinton and Nova might not have an easy love story but they have a damn good one in the end.

This series just like Jessica's other series shows that love is not always easy but it is worth fighting over! I rate this with 5 out of 5 stars and is a MUST READ!!
Happy Reading!!

Broken Dreams(Broken Series 2) by Kelly Elliott

He put his hand on the side of my face and whispered, "I told you, I make it my business to know everything about you, to know everything you love, and try to make you feel safe and happy."

As Courtney would say Reed is so swoon worthy!! In Broken you knew that Reed and Courtney belonged together but because of their past they were fighting it, but you can only fight your heart for so long before you follow it! Once Reed and Courtney finally get together they tell each other stuff that was keeping them apart. Both Reed and Courtney had something bad happen to them but they help pull each other out of the darkness.

You better be ready for a funny and fast ride because they move super fast since they had been in love with each other for so long. Broken Dreams is all about true love and how you bring the best out of each other. I love Gunner from Kelly's Wanted series but Reed replaced him as my favorite book boyfriend from her books. If you love cowboys and small town country life style books then this 5 star book is for you!!

Five Miles (Gypsy Brothers 3) by Lili Saint Germain

I received an ARC copy in return for my honest review!

"Burnt out, shattered, breaking apart under the weight of my lies- and I still have five to go."

Holly shit Batman I did not think that this series could get any better but I was so wrong!!

I could not handle what Sammi has to go through to reach her goal of revenge. There is no way I could willingly sleep with the guy that hurt me and tried to kill me, but Sammi is one tough chick. Dornan still believes Sammi's lies but Jase is starting to get suspicious of the stories she is telling. Elliott wants Sammi to end this right now because he believes she is loosing herself on her road to revenge.

Elliott comes up with a great plan to take them all out but there is just one problem with the plan. He wants her to kill Jase too but she would never be able to do that to him. Sammi goes through with the plan but it does not work out like her and Elliott though it would. The ending leaves you hanging and screaming NOOOOO it can't be over yet!!

I love this series because there is a ton of action and drama in every book. Sammi is a badass chick that is not whiney and fights to avenge her father's death and what was done to her. My only hope is that she does not become a monster herself in the process. I can't wait for Four Score to come out in May. This 5 star book will have you coming back for more!!

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

This was definitely a 5 star Read!! I loved that you could follow the link and listen to the songs that the characters wrote in the book!!

Sydney is having the worst birthday ever! I know what you are thinking it can't be that bad but it is! She finds out that her boyfriend is cheating on her with her roommate/friend. This is how Sydney ends up in the rain trying to figure out where to go until her mysterious/totally hot neighbor that she has been watching play guitar and helping write music gets her to stay at his place with his friend.

Ridge is super sweet and you can't help but to fall in love with him and when you add his best friend Warren into the mix it is hilarious because the boys like to play pranks on each other. Ridge and Sydney keep writing songs together but something starts to change between them! They both have an attraction to the other but there is one HUGE problem there and her name is Maggie. Maggie just happens to be Ridge's girlfriend for the past five years.

Sydney and Ridge fight the feelings they have the best they can but the heart wants what the heart wants! Will Ridge leave Maggie because he has something so strong with Sydney? You will just have to read to find out!! This book is all about love and music with a few surprises thrown in there! You can't help but fall in love with the characters!

Delilah: The Making of Red by Jessica Sorensen

"The moment he took my hand, he owned me, which would seem amazing, except for owning someone and loving someone aren't the same thing."

If you want rainbows and unicorns then you should not read Jessica Sorensen's novels. Yes they have love in them but sometimes you have to go through hell to get to that point.

The Making of Red is just a free short story that goes with the Nova series but can be read as a standalone story but I would suggest reading the other Nova series books because they are very good!!

Only Jessica could make me go from thinking that Delilah is a total bitch to feeling sorry for her! Delilah started off with a good life but after her father decided that he wanted to go off and have another perfect family things went down hill. Her mother started sleeping around and not giving her the attention that she needed. Delilah was a quiet girl that was a great dancer until she meet Dylan.

After she meets Dylan she starts becoming Red. Delilah was not used to guys giving her attention because her mom got most of it so when Dylan starts giving it to her she doesn't know how to act. He changes her and not for the good. She gets into some bad stuff and even gives up her dancing. In the end we are left not really knowing what is going to happen to her but I hope that we find out in the other books coming out in the Nova series.

Jessica writes books that will make you appreciate the life you have. Like I said earlier you are going to get a REAL story where the characters go through hell to get the love they deserve. I love Jessica's books because you can find at least a little something to relate to. I rate this short story with 4 out of 5 stars.

The Right Moves (The Game Series book 3) by Emma Hart

I was given a complimentary copy for my honest review...

Abbi Jenkins suffers from depression. Her past relationship damaged her on the inside and out. She is only 18 and has went through so much more than some adults ever have to. Her only way to cope with the pain was cutting, until she ended up in an institution that reminded her not to give up on her dream of dancing in Juilliard.

Blake Smith has the body of a football player but is an amazing dancer. He moved to NY from London to pursue his dream of going to Juilliard. His accent is sexy as hell and his love and compassion for Abbi makes it even better! He has his own past tormenting him. His eldest sister suffered from depression like Abbi, not for the same reasons, but still found her escape as Abbi did. Though, her end result was death.

"Because amidst all the chaos and heartbreak holding us together, he is my light in the dark."

Abbi and Blake meet at Bianca's dance studio. Bianca helped Abbi when she was recovering and knows all about how much dance is her dream. She pairs Abbi and Blake together for a performance and things kick off from there.

Once they get to know each other they slowly fall for each other. Abbi tells Blake everything and vice versa. The more Abbi dances and spends time with Blake, the more she frees herself and takes control on her depression.

In the end, they both get to start their dreams all while being together.

Depression is a real thing. As always, Emma Hart makes you feel deeply with the characters. Not that I need to try, because I know how Abbi has felt to a degree. It doesn't always happen that you can have something to hold on to to keep your head above the water. Depression is a daily battle, some are worse than others. Abbi is an extremely strong person to be able to fight this. She has a complete support system and a dream to keep her going.

If anything, this book has given me some hope, that there are truly happy endings no matter of the struggle. I rate this book a 5 out of 5. It is a definite must read! This book can be purchased for only .99 cents until April 2nd for its release sale! <3

Only the Beginning ( Rockin Country 1) by Laramie Briscoe

I received an ARC copy in return for my honest review!

This line from the book had me snorting I was laughing so hard!! " That is one sexy car," Shell breathed. "Your birth control is up to date, right?"

If you are a fan of Laramie's Heaven Hill series you will love this book! I could not put it down and I am rating it with a 5 out of 5 stars!!

Hannah " Harmony" Stewart is a country music star that is going through a hard time after realizing how much she let her asshole EX change her. She is super sweet and I love the relationship that she has with her best friend Shell because it reminds me of my relationship with my best friend. These two girls will have you cracking up.

During an award show she finally gets to meet Heavy Metal's bad boy Garrett " Reaper" Thompson whom she thinks is cute. If you need a visual for Garrett look up a picture of Matt Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold lol because that is how I picture him. Garrett is super sweet and they hit it off.
The journey for them is not easy. Hannah has some issues from the stuff that her EX pulled and Garrett has some anger issues. When you add that with a long distance relationship due to touring it is bound to cause some drama.

Only the Beginning is a story about learning to love again and helping each other overcome obstacles. There are plenty of laughs and some serious moments. I will be eagerly awaiting the next book in the story to see if Garrett and Hannah can make it in the long run. This book comes out April 6th 2014 so make sure you one click it! You won't be disappointed!

Uncaged (Corps Security 3.5) by Harper Sloan

I didn't think that Harper could make me fall in love with Greg Cage anymore than I already did but I was wrong!!

Uncaged will make you laugh and cry but it is so worth the read Cohen has to be the cutest little boy ever.

Everything seems to be going perfect for Greg but sometimes things can be too perfect. Something happens that can rip his family apart. Luckily Greg has great friends that are always there for him.

I loved this Novella and rate it with 5 out of 5 stars. I love all of the Corps Security guys but Greg is my favorite.

Deceiving Lies (Forgiving Lies #2) by Molly McAdams

Deceiving Lies: A Novel (Forgiving Lies) by Molly McAdamsDeceiving Lies: A Novel (Forgiving Lies)

I can say that Molly McAdams never disappoints! I read this book in one day because I couldn't put it down and I know that -xoxo-R- stayed up til 2 am because she couldn't put it down. I love when we read the same book at the same time because we can do these reviews together and we can talk about them the entire time.

Let's just say that with this book, it is a must to have some Sour Patch Kids near by. Kash is my fav! Seriously, I want my own Kash lol! I think him and Rachel are amazing together and should have lots of little Kash babies! ;)

Rachel was all happily planning her wedding, picking out her dress, going through the motions of it all and then suddenly, another tragedy! This girl has been through everything I do believe, yet she comes out stronger than ever in the end!

This book had so many twists and turns in it that I thought I was going to go crazy! Esp. when Trent (a Taylor Lautner look-a-like) came in the picture. Even though Rachel is kidnapped by him, I like him! It is weird, but he is a protector over her.

Something else I like, Trip, the puppy! When Rachel brings that puppy home and starts cooking pancakes for Kash and rambles on and on before she tells him what she got, it is hilarious! Esp. when the puppy knocks down a lamp and Kash thinks it is a person, matter of factly, a person whom is there to sleep with his fiance! LOL!

Anyway, back to Trent...he is a member of the gang, by forces out of his control, and is ordered to take Rachel...so he does, but he falls in love with her, and keeps her safe and eventually tries to break them out. This is where the twist happens...And I don't want to spoil it, I had to for Reva last night when I called her because I just couldn't keep it to myself...let's just say that Kash and Mason come to the rescue at the wrong time.

It takes Rachel some time to get her life back to 'normal'. Her wedding gets rescheduled...by the way, I love how she shows him that she is ready to get married! On their wedding night, she has a gift for him...

THING 1 and THING 2!

Her and Kash actually get their happily ever after. Now what we need is a book about Mason! I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars! It was an amazingly, frustrating book! LOL.

-xoxo-T

Now for my turn T pretty much said everything I wanted to so I won't be adding much. Lets just say I want to be Kash's Sour Patch lol. I stayed up until 2 reading this book and had to be at work by 8 if that tells you anything!

The only thing I want to add is that I would love for Trent and Mason to have a book! This is another 5 star book from Molly! This will have you happy one minute and freaking out the next!

Happy Reading

Every Rose by Lynetta Halat

He's wise and I know it. "we were floundering and that's no way to go through this life, babe. Without love, you don't stand a chance in this world."

You need tissues when your read this book! I can't wait to meet Lynetta at The Rebels and Readers author event and get this book signed.

Lorraine comes from a small town where people judge you by who your are related to. Her dad was a drunk that caused her to have a hard life. Then one day her brother tells her that Michael says he's going to marry her. This takes her by surprise because she really don't have any idea who Michael is. That is a start of their beautiful friendship and love.

Lorraine fights Michael's love because He is a bit intense at his pursuit of her. They have a huge fight the night of her graduation and go a few years without speaking. During their time apart she realized that she always love him as more than a friend.

They finally get together and everything seems to be going good but fate had another idea. I am not going to tell you what happens so you will have to read this beautiful love story to see what happens. This is a story about young love, fate, and growing up. I rate this with 5 out of 5 stars.

Damaged and the Beast by Bijou Hunter

Damaged and the Beast by Bijou HunterDamaged and the Beast

This is book one in t he damaged series, but you could read it as a stand alone.

Farah Smith has had a horrible shitty child hood. Her mom is a drunk and a gambler, her father is a con who is always in trouble. The only good thing about her child hood is her sister Tawny and her dream of becoming a teacher.

Cooper Johansson  is heir to his father's business which is everything but legal. He is used to getting what he wants and he screams bad-ass biker boy. He meets Farah when she moves to Ellsburg, KY and attends New Hampton College. He wants her, and will stop at nothing to have her.

Cooper makes Farah take down her walls even though she doesn't want to. She had a horrible life before she moved here and is scared of everything. They quickly fall in love even though they are complete opposites, but Cooper is completely loyal to her and loves her something fierce. They have many complications in their relationship, but in the end, it looks like Farah is going to finally get her happy ending and Tawny is brought to her at her and Cooper's new home.

I rate this a 3 1/2 out of 5. (almost a 4 but not quite there)  It is a really great read, some things I didn't like about Farah, but it is understandable. I really don't like Cooper's sister Bailey at all. She really is just a spoiled bitch. But in the end his whole family becomes Farah's family as well.

Song of The Fireflies by J.A. Redmerski

Song of The Fireflies is not your typical love story in fact it is one hell of a ride!

Elias and Bray have been best friends since childhood when Bray kicked Elias and told him that his face looks like her dog's ass lol. As they got older they both started to have feelings for each other but Bray was too scared to admit that she wanted Elias.

One night Elias talks her into trying to be something more than best friends but not long after that she runs away from him. Years down the road she comes back and things are going good for them until Bray does something bad on accident. Bray does not want to go to the cops so her and Elias run with makes them look guilty.

This is where the story gets interesting and crazy. While on the run they meet some interesting people and do some crazy stuff! After they get caught and go through some stuff they finally get their happily ever after.

This is not your typical love story but I loved it. Elias's love for Bray is what every girl dreams of. I rate this book a 4 out of 5 stars.

I am going to leave you with a quote by Elias that fits the book perfectly "love isn't roses and rainbows and butterflies in your stomach. It's equally cruel and painful and the world's worst villain."

Saving Quinton (Nova series #2) by Jessica Sorensen

I have not read one book by Jessica that was not a 5 star read and this one is no different. Jessica's books make you really think about how good your life really is and I would recommend them to anyone.

At the end of Breaking Nova we had found out that Nova was doing good and quit smoking weed to deal with her problems. She is doing good until she finds out that Quinton is doing bad and has moved up to Meth instead of Weed to deal with his past.

At the beginning of Saving Quinton we see just how bad he is doing. If you are a Breaking Bad fan like I am it is not hard for you to get the picture Jessica paints for us of his life. My heart breaks for him and I wanted to kick his father and aunt and uncle's ass so bad. It takes Nova a lot of research but she finally finds him. Can Nova save Quinton or will trying to save him drag her back down to her drug using bad place? You will have to read to find out because I don't want to spoil it! The only thing I will say is the ending killed me and I can't wait for Quinton and Nova: No Regrets to come out in April.

I love this series because it deals with real issues that people go through everyday. Everyone deals with stuff their own way and sometimes it is not a healthy way and not everyone has someone there to help them when they need it.

Happy Reading!!

Girl in Love by Caisey Quinn

Girl in Love (Kylie Ryans) by Caisey QuinnGirl in Love (Kylie Ryans)

Let me just say that I was so excited that I was able to purchase this book the day it came out! I literally just finished the other two books in this series, so I am glad that I got to read it without taking a break! With that said, I am extremely sad that this series has come to an end. It is hard to let Trace and Kylie go.

This book is about second chances and learning to follow your heart, and getting a piece of your old self back. Trace is out of rehab and Kylie is just an emotional mess, she has cut herself off from everyone.

They find a way to come back to each other in the end, through all the troubles that they went through, the misunderstandings, their hot heads getting in the way of finding out the real truth. They found out that instead of making each other miserable, they were meant to be together and they wouldn't be happy any other way. I love the ending of this book. Kylie shows her life and how happy she is with it through her eyes. They have always been a family, but they have a small family of their own, she is still living her dream, and Trace is the best dad in the world! (hope you caught that)

I rate this 5 out of 5 stars!
I look forward to reading more from Caisey Quinn. -xoxo-T

Cherished( wanted #4) by Kelly Elliott

At the end of Believe I wanted to kick Scott's ass for hurting Jess like he did. After she thought she saw Scott cheating on her she ran off without telling anyone where she was going. When Scott wakes up he finds out that Jess has ran off because she thought he was cheating on her.

Little does Jess know that is was not Scott she saw but his brother sleeping with the girl so it was a huge misunderstanding. While away Jess meets Trey who likes her and is helping her deal with stuff. Can Scott find Jess and explain what happend before he looses her too Trey? How will Scott feel about the big surprise Jess has for him?You will have to read to see what happens!

I love this series because we get to see how the whole gang is doing. They all have the best friendship and love for each other. This book is full of drama and  funny moments. I rate this a 4 out of 5 stars! I don't know if I am more excited for Lark and Azurdee story or an older Alex and Will's story next lol!

Happy Reading!!

Believe(Wanted Series 3.5) by Kelly Elliott

Believe is a short novella about Brad and Amanda. I am so glad that Brad is doing better and him and Amanda worked things out. Believe is set around Christmas time and the whole gang and all the kids get together to celebrate.
This was very short and sweet! I can't wait to read Cherished next to see what is going on with Scott and Jess. If you have loved the other Wanted series books you will like this one also.
I rate this a 3 out of 5 stars. Happy reading!!

Banded Together (Rebel Walking 2.5) by Hilary Storm

We asked for more of the Walker twins and boy did Hilary deliver. Banded Together revolves around Talon and Eaven's wedding and the birth of Taron's and Ivy's daugher.

It is a short and sweet read. I loved getting more of the twins and I am glad that Hilary gave us a little more of the twins before the next book comes out. I give this a 4 out of 5 stars.
