Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

This was definitely a 5 star Read!! I loved that you could follow the link and listen to the songs that the characters wrote in the book!!

Sydney is having the worst birthday ever! I know what you are thinking it can't be that bad but it is! She finds out that her boyfriend is cheating on her with her roommate/friend. This is how Sydney ends up in the rain trying to figure out where to go until her mysterious/totally hot neighbor that she has been watching play guitar and helping write music gets her to stay at his place with his friend.

Ridge is super sweet and you can't help but to fall in love with him and when you add his best friend Warren into the mix it is hilarious because the boys like to play pranks on each other. Ridge and Sydney keep writing songs together but something starts to change between them! They both have an attraction to the other but there is one HUGE problem there and her name is Maggie. Maggie just happens to be Ridge's girlfriend for the past five years.

Sydney and Ridge fight the feelings they have the best they can but the heart wants what the heart wants! Will Ridge leave Maggie because he has something so strong with Sydney? You will just have to read to find out!! This book is all about love and music with a few surprises thrown in there! You can't help but fall in love with the characters!

Happy Reading

"Automatic" Miranda Lambert's new single

"Automatic" was released today, February 5, 2014. Her husband, Blake Shelton, posted on his Facebook this morning, "Just heard Miranda Lambert new song "Automatic"... And I felt a change in the atmosphere of country music. #newclassic".

The song gives fans their first taste of Lambert’s forthcoming fifth studio album. Currently there is no release date so far.

“‘Automatic’ is a song about the good life,” Lambert states. “It’s about slowing down, taking a breath and remembering what it’s like to live life a little more simply. It’s not about going back, but reminiscing about what it was like to hang laundry on the line and wait for it to dry and my dad teaching me how to drive my ’55 Chevy that I still have but don’t drive nearly enough.” Read the whole story here.

I personally really like this song, of course, I may be biased considering how much I really love Miranda! I haven't seen it on iTunes yet, but I am sure that it will just be a matter of time!

Alluring Turmoil(Bayou Stix 1) by Skye Turner

I loved this book! It has a ton of funny moments. I can totally relate to Lexi and her friends because how they are with each other is how I am with my friends. My favorite line from this book is when Bradi says "I've already told you, if Jude Delecroix motions my way, I'm dropping my panties before he can blink and change his mind. I would so have his rock-star babies."
That cracked me up because I have said many times that I would have Matt Shadows' rocker babies lol. Lexi and Jude grew up being best friends and once they gave into their feelings Jude got signed by a record label and everything went to hell. Years down the road he shows up at Lexi's bakery.
Once they see each other all bets are off. They both still love each other. Lexi and Jude decide to try again. Everything goes good until Jude has to go on a tour for a while. After a huge misunderstanding they break up. Like always true love wins in the end.
This was a good rocker book with a happy ending. I enjoyed reading it and rate it 4 out of 5 stars.

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

This book is nothing like the books I normally read but I loved it. It appeals to my nerdy side with my love of comics( I am a Batman girl lol) and music. Park and Eleanor are in high school and meet when the only available spot on the bus is by Park. Park is not really a nerd or a cool kid so no one bothers him. Eleanor is the new girl that dresses funny and is a little different than the other kids

Eleanor has a bad home life and has no friends when the story starts out. After Park notices that Eleanor is reading his comics he starts to bring her some and he makes her a mixed tape of some bands she said she wanted to hear. Eleanor and Park start to form a friendship which is what Eleanor needed. After a while the friendship turns into more and they start to date. After some bad stuff goes down Eleanor has to move.

I liked this book but it has the WORST ending. Overall I would give this book a 3 out of 5 stars. It is a story about young love and how sometimes you meet your soul mate at a young age. The lesson you learned from this book is that you don't know what someone is going through and you shouldn't judge someone before you get to know them.
