Making Faces by Amy Harmon

"I think people are like that. When you really loot at them, you stop seeing a perfect nose or straight teeth. You stop seeing the acne scar or dimple in the chin. Those things start to blur, and suddenly you see them, the colors, the life inside the shell, and beauty takes on a whole new meaning."

Making faces is a wonderful book that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that you don't want to ever get off of!! I rate it with 5 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone. Making Faces is about learning to love yourself and teaches you that love sometimes comes from an unexpected place.

Ambrose it a huge star in his little town and Fern is just an average girl that has a crush on him. Ambrose is beautiful and very athletic and never really gives Fern the time of day until the day before he leaves for the army. Ambrose had talked his four best friends into going in the army, so the five boys fresh out of high school set out on an adventure together.

Five boys went out into world but only one made it back. Ambrose was hurt very badly on top of feeling the guilt over his friends deaths. He refuses to see anyone other than his father until he runs into Fern one night on her way home from work. Fern helps Ambrose see that it does not matter that he does not look the same because he is still beautiful to her. Ambrose and Fern both help each other through some very rough times and come out with a very strong love in the end.

Making Faces is not my typical type of book but I still loved it. I ugly cried through a couple chapters but it is so worth the time to sit down and read!!

Happy Reading

Girl in Love by Caisey Quinn

Girl in Love (Kylie Ryans) by Caisey QuinnGirl in Love (Kylie Ryans)

Let me just say that I was so excited that I was able to purchase this book the day it came out! I literally just finished the other two books in this series, so I am glad that I got to read it without taking a break! With that said, I am extremely sad that this series has come to an end. It is hard to let Trace and Kylie go.

This book is about second chances and learning to follow your heart, and getting a piece of your old self back. Trace is out of rehab and Kylie is just an emotional mess, she has cut herself off from everyone.

They find a way to come back to each other in the end, through all the troubles that they went through, the misunderstandings, their hot heads getting in the way of finding out the real truth. They found out that instead of making each other miserable, they were meant to be together and they wouldn't be happy any other way. I love the ending of this book. Kylie shows her life and how happy she is with it through her eyes. They have always been a family, but they have a small family of their own, she is still living her dream, and Trace is the best dad in the world! (hope you caught that)

I rate this 5 out of 5 stars!
I look forward to reading more from Caisey Quinn. -xoxo-T
